Job summary

Redwood Logistics is seeking an Experienced Carrier Sales & Operations professional in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on identifying, sourcing, and developing carrier relationships to maximize profitability and service quality while leveraging Redwood’s multimodal platform.

You will build carrier profiles, negotiate rates, and coordinate shipments with internal teams. The position offers a hybrid schedule after training and a competitive compensation package including commission.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and develop strong carrier relationships to maximize profitability and service levels.
• Build and maintain carrier profiles; align Redwood truckload opportunities with sales.
• Engage carrier partners by phone, aiming 80+ dials per day.
• Analyze macro-market conditions and impacts on rates and capacity.
• Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate freight with equipment and internal postings; monitor shipments.
• Provide exceptional service and resolve issues promptly with carriers.
• Verify charges, BoL receipts and resolve payables discrepancies before payment.
• Research and develop new carrier relationships to expand capacity.
• Support Redwood operation excellence in daily activities.
