Redwood Logistics is seeking an Experienced Carrier Sales and Operations Representative in Carol Stream, IL. You will identify, source, and develop strong carrier relationships to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction while executing Redwood operational excellence.

The role requires 3+ years in carrier sales within logistics, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Leverage knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operations.
• Build and maintain strategic carrier profiles through research and networking.
• Engage carrier partners by phone, targeting 80+ dials per day.
• Understand macro-market conditions affecting truckload rates and capacity.
• Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with carrier equipment using internal postings.
• Provide service and support to motor carriers to build relationships.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and resolve issues timely.
• Track shipments to address issues during transit.
• Verify charges, BOL receipt, resolve payables discrepancies.
• Monitor BOL discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity.
• Develop new carrier relationships to introduce capacity for opportunities.
