Job summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking a Senior Operations, Controls, and Carrier Compliance Specialist to support carrier contract adherence and the company’s compliance framework. You will work closely with IT, Brokerage and Binding management to analyze contracts, coordinate audits, and implement controls across financial, IT, and operational processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong analytical, data management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years relevant experience required, preferably with an insurance organization, broker, or MGA
• Experience with compliance, audit or a similar background is desirable.
• Strong analytical, data management and decision-making skills.
• Contract review experience
• Organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an undefined work environment.
• Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment.
• Working knowledge of audit frameworks.
• Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis to support business decision making and business process improvement.
• Review carrier contracts to identify key terms that require system changes and coordinate with IT to facilitate and review updates
• Maintain appropriate documentation of the system setup and review process so that the necessary support is available for SOX and External Audit requirements.
• Understand existing financial, I.T, and operational controls and manage adherence to those controls, making sure documentation of controls are updated and communicated as necessary.
• Develop, document, implement, and communicate new controls where necessary as business needs for controls arise.
• Support the carrier audit function, including collaborating with various internal stakeholders to provide requested information, coordinate the audits timely and smoothly, as well as obtaining audit responses from internal teams as requested by the auditors.
• Perform special projects as needed to support the operations of the RT division.
• Other related tasks/teams may be assigned as needed.
