Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, seeks a Senior Operations, Controls, and Carrier Compliance Specialist to support carrier contract adherence and the company’s compliance framework.

The role collaborates with IT, RT Brokerage, and other Shared Service teams. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in insurance controls, analytics, or audits, with strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years relevant experience, preferably with an insurance organization, broker, or MGA.
• Experience with compliance, audit or a similar background is desirable.
• Strong analytical, data management and decision-making skills.
• Contract review experience; organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis to support business decision making and process improvement.
• Review carrier contracts to identify key terms requiring system updates and coordinate with IT.
• Maintain documentation of system setup and review processes for SOX and external audits.
• Understand and oversee existing financial, IT, and operational controls; ensure control documentation is updated.
• Develop, document, implement, and communicate new controls as needed.
• Support the carrier audit function by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
