Job summary

Swissport International is seeking a seasoned operations leader to take charge of cargo office and warehouse activities at the IAD facility. You will oversee shift leadership, coordinate with peers, and ensure adherence to SLAs, quality, and safety standards.

The role requires a minimum of five years in management within aviation and a strong focus on customer service, compliance, and teamwork. On-site responsibilities include health, safety, and security leadership and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years management experience within the aviation industry.
• Strong office and warehouse operations knowledge.
• Customer focus and quality awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.
• Ability to persuade and mobilize a team to action.
• Strong compliance orientation and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Take full shift leadership and management responsibility of cargo office and warehouse operations at IAD.
• Participate in running and developing all aspects of operations with the IAD management team.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office peers to maintain strong cross-shift relations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, service levels, and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and financial performance; take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead safety and quality initiatives; ensure health, safety, and security standards.
• Coordinate with local authorities to maintain a safe operating environment.
• Mentor and develop future Swissport leaders; provide regular progress updates.
• Communicate with customers to foster proactive feedback.
