Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist with daily activities, follow individualized care plans, document care provided, and uphold residents' dignity and quality of life through compassionate, team-based care.

As a Culture Ambassador, you’ll embody our core values, work with a dedicated team, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification required.
• Ability to fulfill physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director about care changes.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Conduct routine rounds to meet individual care plan needs.
• Assist with lifts/moves/transport using proper body mechanics or devices.
• Maintain skin integrity by tending to residents and changing continence care.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff to foster a homelike environment.
