Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is hiring a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The role requires compassionate caregiving, adherence to care plans, and teamwork to enhance residents' quality of life. This is a full-time position with walking and lifting responsibilities and a strong emphasis on dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care is preferred.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks following individualized care plans.
• Assist residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Conduct routine rounds to meet residents' needs per care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per company policy and regulatory standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Respond courteously to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Understand and follow residents' care plans and contribute observations.
• Collaborate with care team to improve resident well‑being.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support to residents and families.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any incidents.
• Implement safety and infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment.
• Attend required training, in-service programs, and staff meetings.
