Job summary

AARP Foundation seeks a Quality Employment Coach for the BACK TO WORK 50+ program. You will provide career guidance to unemployed and underemployed adults over 50, including career exploration, job readiness, and skills development, using a trauma-informed, whole-person lens.

You will deliver individual and group coaching, track participant progress, and collaborate with internal teams and partners to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in career coaching or workforce development, preferably for adults 50+.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with diverse populations.
• Experience delivering career development workshops and workforce readiness programs.
• Knowledge of career development practices, labor markets, and data-driven improvement.
• Proficiency with Office, CRM systems, Zoom, Salesforce, SumTotal, and job search tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct training needs analysis to inform objectives and strategies.
• Design learning solutions including coaching, workshops, and development programs.
• Provide consulting on career and talent development projects across the organization.
• Manage project communication and promote events to drive learner engagement.
• Maintain participant records and prepare data-driven reports.
• Identify opportunities to engage learners in system features and LMS tools.
• Continuously improve learner-centric processes and learning technologies.
