Job summary

Right at Home in Lexington, KY seeks compassionate caregivers for all shifts, including Sundays. You will assist seniors with daily living activities, mobility supports, and personal care needs, delivering dignified, home-like care in clients’ homes.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of HHA/PCA experience, and the ability to communicate in English. CPR is recommended and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities).
• Empathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and ability to handle job demands.
• Read, write, speak and understand English; pass a skills test.
• Current CPR certificate is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, lift).
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises and diet management.
• Measure intake/output and assist with personal care needs.
• Assist with medical equipment applications and patient positioning.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D.

We have a desperate need for caregivers willing to work Sundays. We are looking for caregivers for our regular shifts(8a-8p, 8p-8a, 2p-8p and 8a-5p). We need people willing to work Sundays.

Paid mileage for running errands or providing transportation for clients

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Measuring intake and output
• Application of an external (condom-type) catheter
• Assisting with application of arm sling, arm splint or leg splint
• Assisting with all personal care needs

Requirements

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurses Aide or Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course
• Must have a empathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Provide a current negative TB test or assessment
• Read, write, speak and understand English and pass a skills test
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation for you and your client.
