Job summary

Right at Home, LLC is seeking Direct Care workers to provide in‑home support for seniors in the Eunice, Louisiana area.

You will assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders and transportation support to help clients remain independent at home.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
• 18 Years or Older.
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities).
• Reads, writes, speaks and understands English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Report any changes in condition/advocate for clients
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Encourage activities/exercises essential for daily living
• Provide safety supervision
