Job summary

Right at Home is seeking Direct Dervice Workers to deliver compassionate in-home care for seniors, focusing on daily living support and client safety. You will be on a schedule with 8-hour shifts, and enjoy a culture that values the essential role of caregivers within the home environment.

Join a team that provides paid training, on-the-job coaching, and travel time between clients, with 24/7 office staff support to assist you throughout your day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years or older.
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA).
• Reads, writes, speaks English as needed for the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility
• Plan and prepare meals

• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living
• Provide safety supervision

Requirements:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• 18 Years or Older
• Six months experience as aHome Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA)in health care (in homes or facilities)
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
