Job summary

Trilogy Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support therapy plans under a Physical Therapist. The role includes implementing exercises, observing and documenting responses, and educating patients and families on home exercise techniques.

Travel is minimal and primarily within the local service area, with a supportive, interdisciplinary team environment. The PTA will assist in evaluating patient needs and progress, while ensuring accurate medical documentation and

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification, preferred
• Travel: Yes, typically less than 10%

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintains up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
