Job summary

Franklin House in East Franklin, NC seeks a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage social engagement, and follow infection control protocols. A HS diploma or GED and prior caregiving experience are preferred. We offer competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care or healthcare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and empathy for residents.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Support meals, hydration, personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report health changes to nursing staff; monitor medications reminders.
• Foster companionship and encourage participation in activities.
• Maintain safe, clean living areas and follow infection control procedures.
