Job summary

Franklin House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities and promote independence. You will provide compassionate, personalized care, assist with ADLs, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include health monitoring, medication reminders as needed, and fostering engagement through activities and social events. CPR/First Aid preferred; background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• State-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Foster relationships with residents and encourage participation in activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
