Job summary

Cranberry House in Cranberry, NC is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, dignified living environment for seniors in our community.

The role requires empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. You will support ADLs, monitor residents' health, encourage engagement, and uphold infection control practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Empathy and strong communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health to the nursing team.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Foster companionship and engagement in activities.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergencies per established procedures.
