Cherry Springs Village in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and maintain a safe, dignified living environment.

The role includes assisting with bathing, dressing, meal support, monitoring health, and encouraging engagement in community activities, while following infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and meaningful interactions.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, following established procedures.
