Job summary

Somerset Court of Cherryville is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities in a safe, nurturing environment. The PCA will provide compassionate care, assist with ADLs, meals, and mobility, and work closely with the nursing team to monitor health and wellbeing.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and PCA/CNA training is preferred. Prior experience in senior care is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Compassionate, patient and attentive care for residents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding and hydration.
• Observe and report changes in health or mood to nursing staff.
• Foster engagement through companionship and social activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
