Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support resident care in our Ames branch. You will follow physician orders, administer daily medications, and uphold dignity and comfort for each resident.

Ideal candidates have an active Medication Technician certification or at least one year of senior care experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or 1+ year of senior care experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Ability to follow policies and maintain resident dignity.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to administer medications per physician orders.
• Follow Six rights of medication administration and facility procedures.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on resident medications.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed staff as needed.
• Demonstrate Bickford Mission of exceptional caregiving on shift.
