Job summary

ArchWell Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to support PCPs, greet patients, take vitals, and perform routine diagnostic testing. The MA-Float may cover at other centers as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year MA experience, accredited MA program completion, BLS, and EMR experience with EClinical Works. Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 6+ months' phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake, record vital signs, take medical history and perform routine screenings.
• Engage with patients throughout appointments and communicate changes to PCP or clinicians.
• Manage patient communications, return calls, route messages, and relay information to physicians.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform first aid under supervision.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and accurate, ethical documentation.
• Provide health coaching and follow up with coached patients weekly.
