Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, inventory management, food safety, and customer service while ensuring adherence to menus and applicable regulations.

You will lead staff training, coordinate with client managers, and maintain records using HCSG software. The role requires strong communication, hands-on leadership, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state and county law).
• Must obtain FPM within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills with web-based reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, and food supplies; use HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training and quality control; perform duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
• Ensure sanitary operations and infection control practices.
