Job summary

Legacy Nursing seeks a Dietary Manager to plan, direct, and control the Dietary Department, ensuring high-quality meals and adherence to governing regulations. The role reports to Administrator and Corporate Designee and collaborates with the Dietitian and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, staff training, meal planning, budget adherence, and participation in QA, IDT, and care plan meetings to support residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved state food service supervisor course is required.
• Experience in long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Management experience preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dietary department functions to provide nutritious meals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards.
• Plan menus and coordinate with Registered Dietitian and nursing staff.
• Train and conduct in-services for dietary staff.
• Organize staff scheduling and monitor performance.
• Participate in QA meetings, care planning, and interdisciplinary teams.
