Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - Village On the Park Plano seeks an experienced Resident Care Coordinator Specialist to support seniors in the Greater Houston Area, providing direct resident care and ensuring safety and comfort.

You will supervise medication administration, assist with EMR training, and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a compassionate, compliant community. Travel may be required; HIPAA rules apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of resident care experience in a senior living community.
• Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration or Certified Medication Aide.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Audit medications, dispose expired meds, and report findings to the DRC.
• Orient and train new RCCs, RMAs, and RAs through mentoring.
• Provide guidance to staff and ensure adherence to policies.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and follow infection control policies.
• Maintain daily resident records and document changes.
• Assist with EMR training, order verification, and onboarding of new employees.
• Coordinate staffing and shift coverage, and manage schedules.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure resident safety.
