Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - Village on the Park Denton is seeking Resident Assistants to provide compassionate care in a warm, homelike setting for seniors in assisted living and memory care. You will support daily living activities, meals, and social engagements to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities include documenting activities and conditions, following safety procedures, and participating in training. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, encouraging independence.
• Serve meals in dining areas and assist with meal preparation and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities to encourage socialization.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure clean, safe, and orderly environments; perform basic housekeeping tasks.
