Applingwood Post Acute in Cordova, TN is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee billing for LTC, Medicaid, and private payers. This role emphasizes accuracy, timelines, and compliant revenue cycle management.

Qualifications

• A college degree in accounting or business is preferred.
• Prior BOM experience in a SNF is highly desirable.
• Experience with Medicaid and Medicare billing and collections.
• Proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC) billing system is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing, follow-up, and appeals for various claims to ensure timely payment.
• Meet all billing deadlines and adhere to a calendar for other critical deadlines.
• Cultivate positive relationships with residents, families, and co-workers.
• Ensure collection of payments for all services rendered to patients.
• Proactively manage and prevent pending bills and aging collections.
• Execute, review, and process payments efficiently.
• Retrieve authorizations and process refunds as needed.
• Handle write-offs, collections, and postings of funds received for services.
• Process billing for LTC and Medi-Cal.
• Educate patients and families regarding insurance processes.
• Proficiency in PCC, Excel, and QuickBooks data entry and reporting.
