Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA seeks a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily activities and care plans. You will document services, maintain dignity and quality of life, and embody our culture through empathy and teamwork.

The role requires CNA or related certification, CPR/First Aid readiness, and flexible weekend availability to ensure continuous resident care and services.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Proficient with basic office equipment to maintain performance.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director about changes in care.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment to prevent accidents.
• Perform routine resident care rounds to meet needs per care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves and transport using proper body mechanics or devices.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Familiarize with residents' care plans and provide support accordingly.
• Contribute insights to care planning by observing residents' needs and preferences.
