Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA seeks a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist with daily activities, follow individualized care plans, document services, and uphold residents' dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Certification in Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA is required.
• Ability to meet physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability including weekends.
• Demonstrates compassion and genuine concern for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director about care changes.
• Assist with mobility and use proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Conduct routine rounds to meet residents' needs per their care plans.
• Assist with lifts/moves/transport using proper body mechanics and devices.
• Maintain residents' skin integrity and manage incontinence care.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to supervisors and respond to inquiries from residents and staff.
• Familiarize with individualized care plans and support accordingly.
