Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Resident Care Associate to assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily activities. This role emphasizes empathy, dignity, and teamwork to enhance resident well-being.

The RCA supports care plans, documents services, and upholds confidentiality while working a flexible schedule that may include weekends. Training and a values-driven culture are emphasized in this hands-on caregiving environment.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA or CNA certification is required.
• Ability to meet physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexible availability including weekends.
• Demonstrates compassion and genuine concern for seniors.
• Proficient in basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and mobility.
• Support residents per individualized care plans.
• Conduct routine care rounds to meet needs.
• Document daily care activities and changes.
• Maintain safety, infection control and proper technique.
• Communicate with supervisor about resident status.
