Job summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist II at MUHA in New York provides support to physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive lab. You will scrub for diagnostic and interventional catheterizations and monitor hemodynamics, while ensuring equipment readiness and patient safety.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1 year of invasive CV tech experience, and RCIS/RCES/CEPS or RT(R)CI certification within 2 years of hire, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of invasive cardiovascular technology experience.
• RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification within 2 years of hire; BLS required.
• Telemetry experience and/or radiologic background are a plus.
• Copy of academic degree or transcript required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions including left heart catheterization.
• Performs peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance.
• Assist in room setup and ensure safety equipment and supplies.
• Records hemodynamics and monitors procedure; documents event log.
• Maintains ECG setup and waveform monitoring.
• Transports patients as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program; or equivalent education and/or experience and RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification required
