Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure setting. The role includes scrub duties for cardiac interventions and left/right heart catheterization, along with maintaining ECG setup and rhythm monitoring.

Qualified candidates have RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI within 2 years of hire, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have RCIS, RCES, CEPS or RT(R)CI certification within 2 years of hire.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience in invasive cardiovascular technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions and catheterizations with minimal assistance.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring throughout procedures.
• Transports patients to and from the lab and prepares room with team members.
