Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to support physicians in invasive procedures in the Cath Lab. This PRN, hourly role emphasizes reliability and patient safety.

Responsibilities include scrubbing for cardiac interventions, recording hemodynamics, maintaining ECG setup, and preparing the procedure room for safe care. RCIS/RCES/CEPS or RT(R)CI required within two years; BLS current.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Certification: RCIS/RCES/CEPS or RT(R)CI required within 2 years of hire; BLS required.
• One year minimum invasive CV tech experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions and catheterizations with minimal assistance.
• Records hemodynamics and documents events in MacLab log.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring.
• Prepares and cleans room, ensures equipment and supplies are ready.
• Transports patients and assists within the lab.
• Supports safe, effective patient care during procedures.
