Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative in the United States to connect with healthcare professionals, promote products, and navigate the payer environment. You will implement marketing strategy and drive district targets while building strong customer relationships across Overland Park, Leewood, Olathe, Lawrence, and surrounding KS regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• Preferred Qualifications include: three or more years of sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices; local market knowledge; relationships in the territory; Life Sciences or Business Administration degree; adaptability with core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products to medical professionals.
• Deliver branded sales messages and participate in medical educational programs to drive product utilization.
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts and optimize product access and contracts.
• Collaborate to share best practices and contribute to territory planning with the District Manager.
