Job summary

Mercy Health Partners in Toledo, OH is seeking a registered diagnostic medical sonographer to operate echocardiography equipment, perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac assessments, and assist with clerical duties as needed. The role reports to the Manager, Cardiovascular Diagnostics.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, RDMS, at least two years of cardiac ultrasound experience, and strong interpersonal and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
• Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Two years of cardiac ultrasound experience required.
• Ability to interact with critically ill patients and hospital staff.
• Ability to transcribe medical documents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and interview patients to obtain needed information.
• Operate ultrasound equipment for non-invasive and invasive cardiac assessments.
• Measure cardiac structures and function for quantitative evaluation.
• Prepare and proofread reports with accurate results for physicians.
• Disinfect equipment and perform related clerical duties as needed.
• Assist with student demonstrations and maintain adherence to standards.
