Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Compliance Manager to own compliance advisory for the Affirm Card program. You will make risk-based decisions across marketing, onboarding, wallets, disputes, and servicing, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations to deliver compliant card features built to last.

The role requires deep knowledge of EFTA/Reg E, Reg Z/CARD Act, UDAAP, and card network rules, with a track record of independent work in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a compliance advisory role within financial services, with card/payments focus.
• Deep knowledge of EFTA/Reg E, Reg Z/CARD Act, UDAAP
• Strong track record of independent decision-making in ambiguous environments
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations on regulatory matters
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory issues to non-compliance audiences
• Willingness to lead root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compliance advisory for the affirm Card program across marketing, onboarding, wallets, disputes, and servicing.
• Navigate novel regulatory questions with sound judgment under EFTA, Reg Z, CARD Act.
• Review and approve marketing, disclosures, and UX for regulatory compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation to durable fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Partner with compliance testing, Legal, and risk for regulatory exams and audits.
• Maintain the card program's risk assessments and control inventory, closing coverage gaps.
• Develop and maintain compliance training and reference materials for card requirements.
• Serve as the compliance expert for new card features and lifecycle risk.
