Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking a Senior Engineer to manage complex capital projects for PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee product reviews from a manufacturing perspective, lead multiple projects at multiple sites from conception to qualification, and drive productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.

The role requires seven years of engineering and seven years of project management experience in plastics packaging, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging, including seven years in project management.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs for new capital projects and support capital appropriation.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are reflected in scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into actionable implementation plans with cost and timing.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements; manage upgrades.
• Evaluate performance and cost of new or existing equipment; assess tooling and workflows.
• Communicate and resolve project issues; publish weekly status reports.
