Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to oversee complex capital projects for PET preforms and rigid containers. You will manage multiple projects across sites from concept to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget adherence.

You will support cost reduction initiatives within manufacturing locations. With a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and seven years in plastics packaging, you will lead cross-functional teams, refine feasibility studies,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years professional engineering and project management in plastics packaging.
• Strong communication and leadership across multiple resources.
• Experience managing on-site projects and SPC knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs for capital projects and support capital approvals.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are integrated.
• Refine feasibility studies into action plans with cost/timing targets.
• Review infrastructure and equipment against project requirements.
• Analyze equipment performance and costs; evaluate vendors.
• Publish weekly status reports on projects and issues.
• Maintain division technical specifications and standards.
