Job summary

OPC is seeking a senior Capital Projects Manager in Georgia to oversee the full lifecycle of major projects from permitting through closeout. You will lead diverse teams, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives are met.

Responsibilities include developing the Project Execution Plan, managing stage-gate deliverables, and integrating lessons learned. Strong PMO experience and PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience in industrial or capital projects.
• PMO experience and leadership of project teams preferred.
• Experience managing projects > $10 million.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned capital projects through full lifecycle including permitting, engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, testing, and closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and execute the Project Execution Plan in alignment with corporate standards.
• Navigate projects through stage-gate deliverables, estimates, schedules, risk assessments, approvals, and documentation.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal partners to achieve project objectives.
• Define the project organization structure and identify the technical skills and resources needed for successful project delivery.
• Work with OPC leadership to assign qualified team members to the Project Team.
• Coordinate with Operations and Technical Services to ensure appropriate involvement in design reviews, constructability reviews, start-up planning, commissioning, and turnover.
• Incorporate applicable lessons learned and industry best practices into planning and execution.
