Job summary

Oglethorpe Power Corp. is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end execution of capital projects exceeding $10 million across new sites and the existing generation fleet.

You will direct engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost/schedule certainty. The role collaborates with OPC leadership, Project Controls, Finance, Operations, and external contractors to execute projects per corporate standards and PMO practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience on major industrial or capital projects.
• Experience with projects exceeding $10 million.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned capital projects through full lifecycle (permits, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, testing, closeout).
• Develop, maintain, and execute the Project Execution Plan in line with corporate standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal partners to achieve objectives.
• Define project organization and resource requirements; assign team members.
• Ensure design reviews, constructability reviews, and turnover are integrated into planning.
• Maintain project controls over budget, schedule, and scope; manage change and contingencies.
