Job summary

Oglethorpe Power Corp. in Tucker, GA, is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end execution of capital projects over $10 million across generation sites.

You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and testing, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost/timing certainty. You will collaborate with OPC leadership, Project Controls, Finance, Operations, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects that meet corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience supporting major industrial, power generation, or capital projects.
• Ten or more years of project management experience, including at least five years managing complex projects.
• Experience managing capital projects or a project portfolio with values exceeding $10 million.
• Equivalent experience may include 14+ years at large power plants involving maintenance, capital projects, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned capital projects through full lifecycle including permitting, engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, testing, and closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and execute the Project Execution Plan in alignment with corporate standards and processes.
• Coordinate stakeholders, teams, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Define project organization and assign the necessary resources and skills.
• Lead safety, quality, and compliance throughout project execution.
• Prepare clear project status reports and briefings for senior management.
