Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a Project Engineer to support capital projects, facility improvements, and operational initiatives within a food-grade powder blending facility. You will coordinate engineering activities from concept through startup to improve safety, product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities include developing scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans; coordinating with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and contractors;

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Registration: Professional Engineering and/or PMP registration is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management with a strong mechanical background.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects, facility improvements, and process optimization initiatives from concept through startup and closeout.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and external contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee equipment installations, process modifications, and facility upgrades while minimizing disruptions to production.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget targets.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.
• Support procurement activities, including equipment selection, vendor coordination, and contractor management.
• Lead commissioning, startup, and turnover activities to ensure new equipment and systems meet performance requirements.
