Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of engineers and process designers, delivering high‑quality process engineering work on time and within budget. Responsibilities include setting design criteria, preparing estimates, and coordinating with other disciplines for complex capital projects.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in chemical/petroleum process design, strong process safety knowledge, and experience with CAD and process simulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial process design experience.
• Ability to train others in process safety and site safety requirements.
• Knowledge of equipment specs, vendor data, and CAD drafting standards.
• Ability to estimate tasks, develop schedules, and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver process engineering work on time and within budget.
• Review, approve, and ensure quality of process deliverables and estimates.
• Develop design criteria, scope of work, and cost studies for major projects.
• Coordinate with discipline leads for inter-disciplinary alignment.
• Prepare bid packages and present services to clients.
