Job summary

Engineering Resource Group seeks a Project Engineer for a food ingredient manufacturing plant in Port Reading, NJ. You will manage capital projects from concept through startup, coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure GMP/OSHA/environmental compliance.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of project engineering experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, MS Project and MS Office, and ability to read P&IDs and equipment manuals.

Qualifications

• BS required in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs, equipment manuals and drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D, MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from concept, design and procurement through installation, commissioning and startup.
• Prepare capital expenditure requests and cost estimates for plant expansion.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, maintenance and production personnel during installations.
• Lead equipment testing, startup and troubleshooting of process and utility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, OSHA and environmental standards.
