Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Counsel, Capital Markets to lead legal efforts on diversified capitalization strategies. The role requires expert knowledge of lending and securities laws, and the ability to guide high‑stakes financing from negotiations to closing.

You will report to the Director, Capital Markets Counsel and collaborate with capital markets, bank partnerships, and cross‑functional teams to support growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of law-firm and in-house experience in capital markets or finance.
• JD degree from a reputable law school and bar admission in the US.
• Experience with debt finance, securitizations, and complex financing documents.

Responsibilities

• Advise on capital markets and bank partnership transactions from strategy to execution.
• Draft and negotiate US and international deal documents: credit agreements, indentures, board resolutions, side letters.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams as primary capital markets/legal contact.
