Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Project Controls Manager–Schedule to advance scheduling and progress measurement for a large capital portfolio. You will develop dashboards, coordinate with Sr. PM and Program staff, and lead scheduling staff to ensure data integrity and timely reporting.

The role requires expertise in Primavera P6, strong project control background, and the ability to deliver schedule and cost integration while maintaining compliance with corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Plus 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Graduate Degree preferred.
• PMP in good standing preferred.
• PMI-SP/PMI-RMP/CCP or PSP certification preferred.
• Understanding of railroad business functions, operations, and design and construction processes.
• Knowledge of contracts and contract administration including its assessment and implementation at each phase of the project.
• Experience with Capital & Maintenance project/program.

Responsibilities

• Develop, compile, and deliver project performance indicators and dashboards.
• Manage schedule for large, complex capital construction portfolios.
• Lead and supervise scheduling staff.
• Integrate cost forecasts with schedules.
• Ensure compliance with PM standards and policies.
• Perform risk analysis and schedule quality assessments.
