Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and four years of city, county, state/federal finance experience with budgets.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or equivalent from any other US state.
• Master’s degree or CGFO or related certification preferred; experience with budget software in government is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leads the five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) planning, coordinating with departments to prioritize projects.
• Proposes budget amendments, adjustments, and transfers when necessary.
• Prepares the City’s annual operating and capital budgets and related documentation.
• Monitors budget performance and benchmarks; conducts financial analysis for proposals.
• Supervises and mentors budget analysts and supports staff development.
