The City of Leander is seeking a seasoned program manager to lead and coordinate strategic projects for the City Manager’s Office, Mayor, and City Council, engaging regularly with stakeholders and council members.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of project management experience in public or governmental settings; a valid Texas Class C driver’s license is required, and some evening or weekend meetings may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Public or Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Four years or more of experience managing projects and initiatives for a local, state, or federal entity.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate strategic projects for the City Manager’s Office, Mayor, and City Council.
• Serve as a professional liaison to assist in resolving issues.
• Prepare, draft, and edit speeches, communications, and talking points; proofread materials.
• Provide ombudsman assistance to local businesses and entities developing in the City of Leander and coordinate with departments.
• Attend City Council meetings and other official meetings as needed.
• Monitor project issues and plan for future project requirements.
