Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a CapEx Safety Manager to oversee safety for Capital Expenditure projects across North America. You will work with contractor safety groups to ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA standards and CRH Life-Saving Rules, while delivering safety alerts and monthly reports.

The role requires leading safety teams on complex sites, setting up safety organizations, and coordinating with procurement and management to maintain high safety standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field required.
• 10 years in a lead technical role in mining or cement industry.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience managing contractor safety on capital projects.
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulatory requirements and CRH Life-Saving Rules.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Review safety policies and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Review safety requirements for suppliers and contractors.
• Coordinate with procurement on bid alignment for safety specifications.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and root cause analyses.
• Issue safety alerts and track corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly safety reports for management.
• Set up safety organization on site when needed.
