Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Capacity Planner Analyst to scale manufacturing operations by aligning facility throughput with demand. Use data modeling and predictive analytics to optimize equipment use and remove bottlenecks across optics facilities.

You will work with cross-functional teams to develop capacity models, maintain schedules, and deliver actionable insights via dashboards and reports. Hybrid US-based role with strong collaboration across sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing operations or supply chain with 4+ years in capacity planning or scheduling.
• Experience developing capacity models and what-if analyses for machine constraints and line balancing.
• Advanced Excel skills: dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex data modeling.
• Hands-on ERP/MES experience (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) to extract and analyze data.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, lean, and throughput metrics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production schedules to determine capacity requirements and gaps.
• Monitor equipment utilization and evaluate performance to optimize production lines.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain to align master production schedules with real-time capacity.
• Perform root-cause analysis on bottlenecks and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Develop capacity models including maintenance, shift patterns, and demand fluctuations.
• Prepare reports and dashboards detailing capacity utilization and resource efficiency for leadership.
• Participate in cross-functional planning to validate feasibility of new production initiatives.
• Partner with Module and Material Planners to align capacity with CTB material availability.
