Job summary

Cisco in Maynard, MA, is seeking a Capacity Planner Analyst to scale manufacturing operations by aligning facility throughput with demand. You will build capacity models, run what-if analyses, and collaborate with production and supply chain teams to optimize lines and improve OEE.

The role requires strong Excel, ERP/MES experience (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), and data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI), with growing use of AI for scenario planning. Hybrid work in the US is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing operations or supply chain analysis with capacity planning focus.
• Proven capacity modeling and what-if analyses to evaluate machine constraints and throughput tradeoffs.
• Advanced Excel for quantitative modeling and multi-variable scenario analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) to extract and manage data.
• Strong understanding of lean methodology and throughput metrics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex production schedules to determine capacity requirements and identify gaps between demand and supply.
• Monitor equipment utilization rates and conduct performance evaluations to recommend optimization strategies for production lines.
• Collaborate with production managers and supply chain teams to align master production schedules with real-time operational capacity.
• Perform root-cause analysis on production bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Develop and maintain capacity models that account for maintenance schedules, shift patterns, and demand fluctuations.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards for leadership detailing capacity utilization, equipment performance, and resource efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to validate feasibility of new production initiatives and product launches.
• Partner with Module Planners and Material Planners to integrate capacity models with CTB material availability and assess throughput constraints.
