Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh is seeking an AV Installation Specialist to design, install, and maintain complex audiovisual systems for classrooms and events. You will lead room preparations, configure equipment, and ensure functionality and security per client and business needs.

Key responsibilities include AV equipment support, faculty/staff assistance, and general duties, with an emphasis on timely IT ticket responses, scheduling logistics, and recommendations for equipment purchases.

Responsibilities

• AV Equipment Support: Sets up, installs, upgrades, configures, troubleshoots, documents, and connects complex audio, visual, lighting, computer equipment and peripherals in various environments.
• Responds to assistance requests in the campus IT ticketing system.
• Schedules logistics and secures resources for new installations.
• Tests, maintains, and recommends alternative hardware and software options.
• Provides consultation for audio‑visual equipment purchases.
