Job summary

Boom Supersonic in Colorado is seeking a CAM-depth programmer to develop Hypermill-based 5-axis, mill-turn, and complex 3+2 operations for the Superpower components. You will verify toolpaths in simulation and produce setup documentation that machinists can run without assistance.

You will collaborate with Applications Engineering, influence toolpath decisions, and help shape the CAM system, naming conventions, and tooling libraries, while translating process specs into executable programs for

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience with CAM depth, not just button familiarity.
• 5-axis simultaneous programming experience or strong geometry reasoning.
• Ability to read G-code output and identify post issues.
• Documentation discipline for setup sheets machinists can run without help.

Responsibilities

• CAM programming in Hypermill for Superpower IGT components — 5-axis, mill-turn, 3+2.
• Simulation verification — rigorous review before any program reaches the machine.
• Setup documentation — complete enough that someone else can run the job.
• Program revision control — ensure the machine always has the right version.
• AE collaboration — provide toolpath feedback shaping the process spec over time.
